Tempting You Tuesday

I'd like to tempt you to today to be yourself. Be unapologetically yourself. Listen to your heart. Spend time with how you think. If you're constantly hearing chatter in your mind, try to center yourself by listening to the "self." The self is a quiet hello if you close your eyes and listen. The self is usually at peace and quite content. If your thoughts are constantly racing or "judging" situations you are listening to the "ego." The ego is what we create to please our self's, others, and to fit in. So, how do you think? What do you think about mostly? Is it peaceful and self-based or is it constant and ego-based? The ego-based thoughts will be more about others than about you. The only way to tell is to listen. When you are being true to yourself, that chatter will disappear. You will be calmer, your decisions will be clearer, and you'll find more confidence inside of yourself.
Today, listen and hear your thoughts. Become more in tune to yourself. The first time you're hearing your "self" and not your ego might be weird. Give yourself some time. Open your senses to your thoughts. Take it slow and be gentle with yourself. This might be the first time you actually listened to yourself.
When you are being yourself, you are not only listening to yourself, you're filling yourself up on the inside. When was the last time you did something YOU WANTED to do? At first, this may feel extremely selfish. Thats because most of the time we're filling our lives with other people's wants. Being yourself is about YOU.
But it's Tempting You Tuesday. So I tempt you to be yourself... plan something today or maybe this weekend. Even if it's only one hour, choose yourself. Getting to know yourself starts with listening, then taking small steps toward action. I tempt you... :)

Love this! Great advice. Taking time to listen to yourself is a good thing to do
