CHEAPER THAN THERAPY

You know what’s cheaper than therapy? Gratitude. Being grateful or giving thanks will increase the value of life - and it doesn’t cost a thing! It’s like therapy that you can give yourself, because when you’re grateful; your thinking of what you have (and not what you lack). John Ortberg says: Gratitude is the ability to experience life as a gift. It liberates us from the prison of self-preoccupation.
So, what are you grateful for? I have so many things. I am grateful for my children, my loved ones, my health, my life, my abilities, my job, the person reading this, and just being able to breathe.
What about this for thought? What if you woke up this morning with only what you were thankful for yesterday? That would mean, if you went to bed last night feeling sorry for yourself, mad at someone, or took all of your blessing for granted; everything you are thankful for would not be here there today. Thank God that’s not the way it works. Try to refocus your mind each day to be grateful and you’ll see life in a new light.
So, when was the last time you really counted your blessings? For me, I do it daily. But even more so this weekend. My oldest son hit a deer on his motorcycle 1 mile from our house. He got shot off the bike 100 feet and only has road rash! If that’s not something to be grateful for, I don’t know what is? The entire next day, I kept saying, “Thank God I’m not planning Noble’s funeral." Lots of you know I already had to plan my husband’s funeral. I am a widow. I lost my husband in a car crash 11 years ago. So, you better believe I count my blessings! Every night, I go to bed thankful for life with my boys and the people I love. Why? Because I know being grateful is cheaper than therapy. And, just in case I wake up tomorrow with only what I was grateful for today...

I love this! 😘
Very good point... thanks..
